Support Jordan PTA

Our mission is to support the best education possible for our children at Jordan Middle School. Unfortunately, public funding does not adequately cover all the programs we believe are necessary to support the highest quality of educational experience we all desire for our children. PTA fundraising, primarily through the Annual Fund, is necessary to support our PTA programs such as community events and student enrichment, and to bolster other needs of the school, consistent with the PTA mission and goals. The PTA woks closely with the Principal and Site Council to determine Jordan¹s needs and the appropriate source for funding each need. We are asking for donation contributions to the PTA Annual Fund to support these efforts.

Teaching Support – The PTA puts resources in the hands of teachers through grants for curriculum enrichment and innovation and by supporting staff development projects to insure state-of-the-art practices in critical core subjects and a strong working team.

Student & Family Support – The PTA assists with important adolescent counseling services, the successful after school Homework Center, the Pride program, and student scholarships where needed. We support parent education programs and many events that bring our school community together.

Arts & Enrichment – The PTA brings artists and authors to campus and supports our music, drama and PE programs and the library to engage students in a deeper learning experience.

Capital Expenditures – The PTA continues to be one of the sources necessary to upgrade our aging and outdated technology.

Communications – Timely information helps Jordan’s parents and students feel connected. The monthly Jordan Journal, the school Web site and eNews are important PTA priorities.

In addition to the PTA, you will be receiving a direct appeal from “Partners in Education”, the district-wide fundraising effort. PiE funds are used at the Principal's discretion and are used in large part to cover staffing needs because the PTA may not do so by district policy. Please be assured that PTA, PiE and the Principal are working closely to coordinate our efforts.

A contribution to the Jordan Annual Fund is a wonderful opportunity for you to make a meaningful difference in your child's education. We would like to have all families participate, so any size donation is greatly appreciated.
